Fun Programs

 

KID SURGE provides fun programs combining our own original instructional music with popular songs to teach Sports, Dance, & Zumba to kids ages  2 – 16.

During our classes, kids learn gross and fine motor skills, positive character traits while listening to instructional music as they participate in movement games.

Additional important benefits kids gain are more confidence, self-discipline, personal-drive, team skills, and respect for authority and peers.  Positive reinforcement is emphasized throughout both programs.

Sports Thru Music

Ages: 2 1/2 – 12 years old 

Sports Thru Music program teaches a variety of sports using music, focusing on fundamental skills using visual and auditory learning. Sports featured: Basketball, Bowling, Football, Golf, Hockey, Lacrosse (Scoops), Soccer, Tee-Ball, Tennis, Ultimate Frisbee and Volleyball.  Every week students are introduced to a different sport and participate in games to reinforce the skills learned for the sport of the week.

Dance & Fitness

Ages: 2 1/2 – 12 years old

Dance & Fitness program teaches choreography to variety of dance styles (African, Bollywood, Dancehall/Reggae, Hip-Hop, and Latin) and incorporates fitness games. Students are introduced to different music, beats, and dance movements. Kids learn body awareness, self expression, and self confidence to perform in front of others as well as enhancing their fitness: muscle memory, endurance, and conditioning.

Zumba & Play

Ages: 2 1/2 – 12 years old

Zumba program is a high-energy class featuring aerobic movements (boxing, squats, twisting etc.) and dance moves (Two-Step,  Shuffle, Charleston etc.) Class teaches kid-friendly routines to popular kids music. Students are introduced to music from all over the world as well as different dance styles. A fun interval workout with low-intensity and high-intensity moves learning the basics of Zumba.

Hip Hop Edu

Ages: 5 – 17 years old

Hip Hop Edu takes kids on a journey through Hip Hop History from the late 1970’s to the late 1990’s. They learn about the evolution of Hip Hop: music, culture, and dance. We introduce kids to Hip Hop pioneers and notable legends, defining moments in Hip Hop lore, dance steps from past to present, old school and new school songs, and show them how to write their own rap bars.

Parent Prices: (40 minute classes)
Sports Thru Music
  • $60/4 week sessions (up to 15 kids) * One time $20 registration fee. 
  • $100/8 week sessions (up to 15 kids) * One time $20 registration fee. 
  • $140/12 week sessions (up to 15 kids) * One time $20 registration fee.
Dance & Fitness, Zumba & Play, or Hip Hop Edu
  • $50/4 week sessions (up to 15 kids) * One time $20 registration fee. 
  • $90/8 week sessions (up to 15 kids) * One time $20 registration fee. 
  • $130/12 week sessions (up to 15 kids) * One time $20 registration fee.

Kids Fitness Party

Ages: 2 – 16 years old
Kids Fitness Party is an In-House Field Trip that features aerobic exercises, Zumba, interactive and popular games with a fitness twist. It’s a high paced and high energy program that keeps kids entertained from beginning to end. Interactive and Fitness fun!
Facility Prices: (2 – 30 minute classes)
  • 20 kids for $90 for 1 hour
  • 30 kids for $120 for 1 hour
  • 40 kids for $150 for 1 hour
  • 50 kids for $160 for 1 hour
  • 51-100 kids – $3.50 per child
  • Over 101 kids – $3 per child

Program Promise 

During each program, we introduce kids to basic fitness skills such as, locomotor (running and hopping), nonlocomotor (balancing and stretching) and manipulative (catching and throwing). These skills will motivate them to play, practice and achieve their best.
